Klobuchar was honored for helping pass the Honoring Our Fallen Heroes Act into law, which assists police officers and firefighters who become sick due to exposure to toxic substances. The Young and Emerging Farmers Workshops were recently held, offering two days of classes and seminars designed to assist individuals in the early stages of their farming careers. Organizers noted that when Minnesotans begin farming, there is often no human resources department to guide them through workplace training, policies, or role expectations.

On day one, participants heard presentations on tax preparation, first-time loan options, and preparing financial statements. Day two included discussions on insurance, farm safety, and next-generation succession planning.
