REBECCA JANE JOHNSON, BAUDETTE DECEMBER 14, 2025

Rebecca Jane Johnson (Becky) passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, at the Warroad Senior Living Center.

Becky was born on November 16, 1936, in Marysville, Ohio, to Lawrence and Thelma Rhoads, the youngest of two daughters. She grew up in a baseball-loving family and attended many family games. That passion stayed with her throughout her life, with a Minnesota Twins game almost always playing on the television or radio.

Becky met and married Willard Johnson and moved to a small farm with him outside of town where they raised their three children, Jeff, Tim and Tracey. While Willard was driving truck, she helped tend to the animals on the farm and worked at Scott’s Miracle-Gro in town.

Willard and Becky purchased Twin River Resort on April 12, 1972, and moved to Baudette, MN until later selling in 1991. During her time up north, she started working as a CNA in town at the Care Center in East Baudette, later moving to the office as an administrative assistant. After retirement she continued to work part-time at Ben Franklin. She enjoyed attending her kids’ and grandkid’s sporting events, lunch with the ladies, and the occasional shopping date.

Winters were spent with Willard in Naples, Florida, where she found a close-knit community of lifelong friends. They shared weekly Saturday garage sale outings, leisurely porch visits, and countless block parties filled with laughter and companionship.

Becky was a loving wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother who found immense joy in snuggling every baby and sharing her boundless love with her family. She is greatly missed by her children Jeff (Val) Johnson of Thief River Falls, Tim Johnson of Eagen, Tracey (Rod) Krohn of Williams, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren with one more on the way, her sister Georgeann Hobbs of Marysville OH, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Willard, grandson Cam Johnson, brother-in-law Pete Hobbs, niece Mary Jo DeGood, and her parents.

No services are planned. Interment will take place in Spring at Elm Park Cemetery in Baudette.
