Regina “Gina” Ruth Dahl, 47, of Warroad, Minnesota, passed away at Altru in Grand Forks, ND. She was born on January 21, 1978, in Hallock, Minnesota, to Pete and Pam (Pagnac) Anderson.
Gina was raised in Hallock and graduated from Warroad High School. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith. Over the years, Gina worked nearly twenty years at Polaris Industries and later at Marvin Windows and Doors, holding various positions throughout her career.
In 2000, Gina married Cliff Dahl, and together they made their home in rural Roseau, Minnesota, where they raised their three children — Kate, Axle, and Ryder. Gina was immensely proud of each of them, celebrating Kate’s success as a registered nurse, Axle’s dedication as an EMT, and Ryder’s work as an electrical lineman. Her children were the heart of her life.
Gina was an energetic, outgoing, and social woman who brought light and laughter wherever she went. She had an infectious laugh, a beautiful smile, and a way of making everyone feel welcome. She loved the outdoors — whether fishing, hunting, camping, four-wheeling, or snowmobiling — and had a lifelong love for animals. Throughout her life, family could have pictured her operating her own animal rescue. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and cheering on her kids at their sporting events.
In her later years, Gina faced challenges with addiction that made her journey trying at times. Throughout the ups and downs, Gina faced her struggles with resilience, determination, and the support of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Pete Anderson; stepfather, Sandy Aker; grandparents Manford and Margaret Anderson, Stub and Ruth Pagnac, and Rita Pagnac.
Gina is survived by her children, Kate (Austyn Bourman) Dahl, Axle (Matthew Bednarz) Dahl, and Ryder (Ella Boulianne) Dahl; her mother, Pam Anderson; brothers Benji (Heidi) Anderson, Casey (Chassidy) Anderson, Max Anderson, and Shawn Aker; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly.
Gina will be remembered for her generous heart, her joyful spirit, and her unwavering love for her family.
