The Minnesota Timberwolves were in action last night at Target Center, falling to the Brooklyn Nets by a final score of 123–107. Minnesota kept things close early, but Brooklyn pulled away in the second half, using a strong offensive push to take control of the game.
The Nets were led by Cam Thomas, who scored 30 points in his return from injury. The Timberwolves struggled to find consistent scoring down the stretch and couldn’t close the gap late. Minnesota will now look to regroup as they prepare for their next matchup later today against Chicago.

The Minnesota Wild were on the ice Saturday night, skating to a 4–3 overtime win against the Winnipeg Jets. The game was tightly contested from start to finish, with both teams trading goals and pushing the pace before heading into overtime tied at three.
In the extra session, Matt Boldy scored the game-winning goal, finishing the night with two goals to lead Minnesota. The Wild showed grit late and got solid goaltending as they closed out the victory, earning an important win as they continue their schedule.

The World Juniors delivered a packed weekend of action in the Twin Cities, as pool play continued with several marquee matchups. Team USA opened the tournament with a strong offensive performance, then followed it up with a tight, defensive one-goal win, showing they can score when needed and lock things down late. Canada also remained unbeaten through the weekend, highlighted by a hard-fought overtime victory that kept them near the top of the standings.
Elsewhere, Finland turned heads with a dominant shutout win, while Sweden continued to look steady and disciplined in group play. With several teams already separating themselves, the race for playoff positioning is starting to take shape. Pool play continues this week in Minneapolis and Saint Paul, as the world’s best under-20 players push toward the medal round and a shot at world junior gold.

The Roseau Rams boys hockey are back on the ice tonight at home as they skate in their own Holiday Hockey Classic, taking on Kittson County Central. Expect a great matchup as the Rams look to set the tone in tournament play in front of the home crowd. Puck drop for that one is set for 7 o’clock tonight.
Meanwhile, the Roseau Rams girls hockey are on the road at the Mid-Winter Meltdown in Eden Prairie, where they’ll face Grand Rapids Greenway at 5:45 PM. Bobcat will have your pre-game coverage beginning at 5:15 PM on Wild 102 Radio, bringing you everything you need before the puck drops.
