58-YEAR OLD BRUCE HANSON, A ROSEAU COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTY, PLEADED GUILTY TO GORSS MISDEMEANOR MISCONDUCT OF A PUBLIC OFFICER. HE WILL SERVE NO JAIL TIME, AFTER BEING GIVEN A 364 DAYS SENTENCE IN ROSEAU COUNTY JAIL. A COMPLAINT WAS FILED IN JUNE, ALLEGING THAT HE RETRIEVED INFORMATION ABOUT A PENNINGTON COUNTY JAIL INMATE FROM A CRIME DATABASE AND SHARED IT WITH HER, AS WELL AS INFORMATION ABOUT ANOTHER DEPUTY AND SHERIFF’S OFFICE DUTIES.

NO ONE WAS INJURED IN A WEDNESDAY FIGHT OUTSIDE OF THE ROCKING A BAR IN LENGBY, MINNESOTA. THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE HAD RECEIVED REPORTS OF A GUNSHOT AND 12 PEOPLE INVOLVED IN A FIGHT. THEY DETERMINED THAT NO ONE WAS SHOT, NO ONE REQUIRED A TRIP TO THE HOSPITAL, AND THEY DO NOT BELIEVE A FIREARM WAS DISCHARGED.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR WILLIAM “BILL” AND CELESTE CAIN WILL TAKE PLACE THIS SATURDAY AT ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH IN WARROAD AT 11 AM, WITH VISITATION AN HOUR PRIOR. ON FRIDAY, THERE BE VISITATION AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN WARROAD FROM 5-7 WITH A 7:00 PRAYER SERVICE. INTERMENT WILL BE HELD AT RIVERSIDE CEMETERY IN WARROAD.
