BOUCHA FILMS HAS PARTNERED WITH PBS TO PRODUCE A ONE-HOUR DOCUMENTARY CALLED “THE HENRY BOUCHA STORY”. THAT WILL BE RELEASED IN 2024, AIRING FIRST IN THE STATE OF HOCKEY AND THEN RELEASED TO 350 PBS CHANNELS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. ROUND TWO OF THIS WINTER STORM WILL COME ACROSS THE REGION TODAY, AND QUITE HONESTLY, IT’S EXPECTED TO BE WORSE THAN ROUND 1. THE SNOW FALL IS GOING TO BE FOLLOWED BY FRIGID TEMPS THAT WILL BEGIN ON SUNDAY.

SOME REGIONAL AREAS PULLED THEIR POSTAL WORKERS OFF OF ROUTES YESTERDAY ON ACCOUNT OF THE WEATHER. POSTAL SERVICE STAFF ARE ASKING RESIDENT TO KEEP THEIR MAILBOXES ACCESSIBLE, AND STEPS AND SIDEWALKS CLEAR OF SNOW AND ICE. THE POSTMASTER GENERAL SAID DESPITE POPULAR BELIEF, THE “NEITHER SNOW NOR RAIN” IS NOT THE POSTAL SERVICE MOTTO… SAFETY IS ALWAYS A TOP CONCERN.

MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN TRANSPORTATION OFFICIALS HAVE NARROWED THE OPTIONS TO REPLACE THE BLATNIK BRIDGE THAT CONNECTS DULUTH AND SUPERIOR. THEY HOPE TO BRING THE PREFERRED PLAN TO THE PUBLIC NEXT FALL. ONE PLAN THAT UTILIZES THE CURRENT PATH WOULD BE ABOUT A FIVE YEAR PROJECT, ANOTHER, THAT WOULD INVOLVE MORE NEW CONSTRUCTION COULD TAKE SEVEN YEARS, BUT WOULD ALLOW THE CURRENT BRIDGE TO REMAIN MOSTLY OPEN TO TRAFFIC.
