MEMORIAL SERVICES FOR ROGER KOFSTAD OF WARROAD WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY (1 PM) AT ZION LUTTHERAN CHURCH IN WARROAD. VISITATION WILL BE THURSDAY (5-7) WITH A 7:00 PRAYER SERVICE AT THE CHURCH. MILITARY HONORS BY THE WARROAD AMERICAN LEGION. ROGER KOFSTAD WAS 80.

HIS BODY WAS FOUND MARCH 3 AT THE EAGLE’S HEALING NEST IN SAUK CENTRE WHERE HE WAS UNDERGOING TREATMENT THERE AS PART OF A CIVIL COMMITMENT FOR ASSAULTING HIS NEIGHBOR IN AUGUST 2019, WHEN HE WAS ALSO FOUND INCOMPETENT TO STAND TRIAL BECAUSE HE WAS MENTALLY ILL AND DANGEROUS. PAVELICH ASSISTED ON MIKE ERUZIONE’S WINNING GOAL AGAINST THE HEAVILY FAVORED SOVIET UNION IN THE 1980 OLYMPICS.
