THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT HAS AWARDED FOUR-POINT-SIX MILLION DOLLARS IN CONVENTION CENTER RELIEF GRANTS AND EIGHT-POINT-FIVE MILLION IN MOVIE THEATER RELIEF GRANTS.
THAT’S PART OF THE 216 MILLION DOLLAR ECONOMIC RELIEF PACKAGE APPROVED BY THE STATE LEGISLATURE IN DECEMBER.
AMONG THE MOVIE THEATER AWARDEES ARE THE BAUDETTE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AND THE ROSO THEATRE; BOTH GET FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS.
AMONG THE CONVENTION CENTER AWARDEES IS THE SANFORD CENTER IN BEMIDJI, WHICH GETS 305 THOUSAND DOLLARS.
