Mary was born February 19, 1955 to Anna Mae (Rindy) Thompson and Arnold Thompson in international falls, MN. Mary went to school in international falls, then moved to Roseau where she meet Marvin (feen) Shaugabay and had Lisa and Eric and later married Feen in December 23, 1985.

Mary worked for Marvins for many years, but her passion was working at Seven Clan Casino as a head cashier. When she wasn’t traveling to different casinos with feen she loved to take care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling to watch them play all kinds of sports. She loved cooking and crocheting blankets and clothes for her loved ones. Mary moved into the Warroad care center due to complications from COPD and Parkinson’s where she died peacefully in her sleep.

Was preceded in death by her husband Marvin (Feen) Shaugabay, daughter Lisa Shaugabay, stepson Robert Monnell, parents Arnold and Anna Mae (Rindy) Thompson, uncle Dean Rindy. In laws Richard and Francis Shaugabay, sisters-in-law Margaret Shaugabay, Evonne Lane and brothers-in-law Richard and Bill Shaugabay, Rodney Hamlin, Larry Lane

Survived by: son Eric (Suzi) Shaugabay of Warroad. Grandchildren Gage, Jori and Anders Shaugabay of Warroad. Grandson Adam (Abigail) Shaugabay of Grand Forks, ND. Granddaughter Amanda Molash of Warroad. Great granddaughter Kollyns Marie Shaugabay of Grand Forks, ND, Siblings: Barb (Richard) Johnson of Warroad, Betty (Bill) Larson of International Falls, MN, Allen Thompson of Badger, MN, Brian Thompson Of Audubon, MN, Donnie Thompson Of Boston, MA, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life for Mary will be held October 15, 2022

Lake town hall, Warroad MN at 4:00 PM
