ROSEAU’S BOYS TRACK TEAM WON YESTERDAY’S SECTION 8A TRUE TEAM MEET (IN ROSEAU) TO ADVANCE THE MAY 18TH STATE MEET IN STILLWATER.

THE RAMS’ JACOB LINDEMANN WON THE DISCUS AND WAS 4TH IN THE SHOT PUT; BEN OLSON TOOK THE 100 METER DASH; AND JEREMIAH BENDER WON THE TRIPLE JUMP, WITH WARROAD’S KALVIN KOEMANY SECOND. ROSEAU’S ADAM LePARD WAS 2ND IN THE HIGH JUMP.

THE RAMS’ GIRLS WERE 4TH; THE WEST MARSHALL FUSION WON THE GIRLS TEAM EVENT.
FOR ROSEAU, SOPHIE HELGESON WON THE 100, 200 AND 400 METER DASHES.

WARROAD’S ELIANA BLEESS WON THE 800 METER RUN, WITH TEAMMATE OLIVIA GOULET 2ND; THE WARRIORS’ MADELEINE BLEESS WAS 2ND IN THE HUNDRED METER DASH.

 

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL – GAGE WILMER GOT THE WIN IN RELIEF AS WARROAD EDGED ROSEAU 4-3. MAX GAUSEN DROVE IN A RUN AND SCORED ANOTHER FOR THE WARRIORS. OLIVER LEE, DANNY WENSLOFF AND BROCK BYFUGLIEN EACH HAD TWO HITS FOR THE RAMS.

THIEF RIVER FALLS SHUT OUT B-G-MR 2-0.

CALVIN HANSON STRUCK OUT 12 AS KITTSON COUNTY CENTRAL WHIPPED WIN-E-MAC 8-4.

 

HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL – B-G-MR OUT-GUNNED WARROAD 17-3.

 

ROSEAU’S THOR BYFUGLIEN AND PAUL HUGLEN WERE TAKEN IN 5TH AND 8TH ROUNDS OF THE U.S. HOCKEY LEAGUE PHASE ONE DRAFT, FOR HOCKEY PLAYERS BORN IN 2003. BOTH ARE EXPECTED TO PLAY IN ROSEAU NEXT WINTER. WARROAD’S GRANT SLUKYNSKY WAS TAKEN IN THE 15TH ROUND OF THE PHASE TWO DRAFT BY THE FARGO FORCE.
