A Funeral Service for Trisha A. Nelson will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Riverside Lutheran Church in Wannaska at 11:00am with a visitation an hour prior. There will also be a visitation the night before, Monday, June 12, at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau from 5:00-7:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm.

Trisha Ann Nelson was born on February 27, 1984 to Clarence Nelson Jr. and Joyce (Wojciechowski) Nelson in Thief River Falls, MN. She grew up in Wannaska and was Baptized and Confirmed at Riverside Lutheran Church in Wannaska. Trisha attended grade school both in Wannaska and Malung before graduating from Roseau High School in 2002. During her high school years Trisha worked at Langlies Supermarket in Roseau, MN for several years.

After graduation she worked at 7 Clans Casino in Warroad and Thief River Falls dealing blackjack and worked over six years with Digi-key. Trisha met Philip Nelson in 2005, by chance, at an event that both were reluctant to attend. They were later married on October 25, 2008 and from that union Morgann was born. Morgann was the biggest blessing in Trisha’s life. She loved nothing more than being a wife and mother. Trisha got a job with LifeCare and she worked in Greenbush, Roseau, and Warroad. Through her work she was very special to many people and touched peoples’ lives in miraculous ways.

Trisha struggled with a bone disease and had many struggles in life, going through numerous corrective surgeries. With all of her struggles Trisha never let it hold her back, she cherished every day and had a very positive and happy attitude.

Trisha enjoyed life, she loved camping, hunting, fishing, going to the lake, and being with family and friends. With all she loved and enjoyed in life there was nothing she loved more than her Morgann.

Trisha was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence Nelson Sr. and Gwen Nelson; also her grandpa, Richard Wojciechowski.

She is survived by her husband, Philip Nelson; daughter, Morgann Nelson; parents, Clarence Nelson Jr. and Joyce Nelson; grandmother Della Wojciechowski; siblings, Tanya Mickolio, Tara (Trent) Wiskow; father and mother In-law, Wallace and Edna Nelson; brothers in-law, Matt (Sherry) Nelson, Luke (Erica) Nelson, John (Stacy) Nelson, Jake (Callie) Nelson; sisters in-law, Wendy (Greg) Bauer, Sandy (Russell) Loucks, Randie (Rick) White, Josie (Aaron) Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
