A Celebration of Life for Vincent D. Buck of Warroad, MN will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM at the Warroad Eagles.
Vincent Buck was born in Hitterdal Mn on Feb 14, 1937. After graduating High School, he attended Glaskow State University in Glaskow Idaho. He then joined the Army and went through basic training in Gorgia. He was then stationed at Fort Huachuca Arizona where he met Rosalie who was the love of his life. They were married for 63 years. He was hired by the DNR and began his career as a Forest Ranger for the state of MN. He worked in Floodwood MN, Pine Island MN, Faribault MN, Lake City and Kelliher MN. In 1980 he moved to Warroad as the Assistant Area Forest Supervisor. in 1994 he took over the Wannaska Area as Forest Supervisor. The last 15 years before retirement he was an air attack lead and coordinated aerial firefighting aircraft over many wildland fires throughout the US.
After retirement he became a skilled knifemaker as a hobby, and he and Rosalie spent time frequently traveling to visit their children. He enjoyed deer hunting, and even taught knife making to the local high school students. He was also involved with teaching winter survival skills to the Boy Scouts.
Vince was one of the founding members of the Warroad Lost River Sportsman’s Complex. He was on the board of directors for several years. Vince was an advocate and steward of the range and volunteered as range safety officer.
He passed away peacefully on June 26th in the hospital in Roseau MN.
He is survived by his wife Rosalie, children William Buck, Elisa Parrott (Troy Parrot), Lora Krahn (Gordy Krahn) and Cynthia Anderson (Eric Anderson). They also have 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

He was a proud member of the American Legion and the Eagles organization.
