Kathryn J Timinskis passed away on May 29, 2025 at her home in Zimmerman at the age of 75. Her beloved dog Arlo and cat Willow close by. Kathy was the first born of five children to Iden J. (Jimmy) and June (Ganyo) Magnusson on March 14, 1950
Kathy graduated with the Roseau High School Class of 1968. After attending college in Bemidji, Kathy lived in Oregon, Colorado, Minneapolis and finally settled in Zimmerman. She worked for samsonite, the State of Minnesota, Anoka and Sherburne Counties and the Pioneer Press among other places.
She married and divorced Dale Timinskis. Her son lan was her pride and joy. Ian died unexpectedly in 1999 and also left to mourn him were his wife Shannon and son Dylan.
Kathy and her significant other Ben met on AOL in 2002. It started with meeting for lunch and they were together through thick and thin ever since. Ben was always there for Kathy, especially when her health slowly failed. He helped her for the last years of her life, making her as comfortable as possible.
Left to mourn her passing are Ben Scheel, daughter-in-law Shannon (Don), grandson Dylan (Grace), siblings Michelle (Gary) Slater and Joe Magnusson, nephews Ethan, Hunter and niece Bridget.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Iden and sister Patricia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Ruff Start Rescue, where their dog Arlo was adopted.
A Funeral Service for Katherine Timinskis of Roseau, MN, will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Messiah Lutheran Church in Roseau, MN. Visitation will be held one hour before the service.
