MINNESOTA ADDED JUST OVER 19,000 JOBS IN THE MONTH OF JULY, AND STATEWIDE UNEMPLOYMENT REMAINED AT A RECORD LOW OF 1.8%.

A JUDGE HAS RULED IN FAVOR OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA, IN A CASE INVOLVING THE IRON WAFFLE COFFEE COMPANY NEAR BRAINERD. THE CASE HINGES ON PENALTIES BROUGHT ON BY HEALTH VIOLATIONS THAT WERE DISCOVERED DURING THE PANDEMIC THAT DEFIED EXECUTIVE ORDERS, AND THE FACT THAT THE OWNER REPEATEDLY OPENED THE RESTAURANT EVEN AFTER HER FOOD AND BEVERAGE LICENSE HAD BEEN REVOKED. THE BUSINESS HAS SINCE BEEN ISSUED A NEW LICENSE, BASED UP ON THE FACT IT IS NOW UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP AND GOES BY “S AND S WAFFLE AND COFFEE”.

DATES FOR HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION IN ROSEAU COUNTY ARE COMING IN EARLY SEPTEMBER. A DATE FOR DROP OFF OF MATERIALS IN WARROAD IS SEPTEMBER 1, IN ROSEAU ON SEPTEMBER 8, AND IN BADGER AND GREENBUSH ON SEPTEMBER 9.
