ROSEAU PARKS AND RECREATION THIS WEEK OPENED UP REGISTRATION FOR THEIR SUMMER ADVENTURE CAMP. THE PROGRAM IS FOR AGES 5-9, AND CARE IS PROVIDED FROM 7:30 AM TO 4:30 PM. IT WILL BEGIN ON JUNE 3RD, RUN THROUGH AUGUST 16. A CHILD CAN BE SIGNED UP FOR MON-FRI, MON-WED-FRI, OR TUE-THUR.

THE FEBRUARY DEATH OF AN INMATE AT THE NORTHWEST REGIONAL CORRECTIONS CENTER HAS BEEN DEEMED A SUICIDE. AN AUTOPSY SHOWED THAT MATTHEW BAGLEY’S DEATH WAS CAUSED BY HANGING. BAGLEY, FROM TENNESSEE, WAS IN CUSTODY FOR DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED.

A DILWORTH MAN IS ACCUSED OF NETTING MORE THAN $100,000 IN VETERANS BENEFITS THROUGH FALSIFIED DOCUMENTS. MIKHAIL ROBIN WICKER FORGED DOCUMENTS, SUCH AS A PURPLE HEART CERTIFICATE, SAYING HE WAS A PRISONER OF WAR IN IRAQ WHILE SERVING IN THE MARINE CORPS. HE CLAIMED HE WAS INJURED BY AN I-E-D IN 2005. SOMEHOW, THIS ALL SLID THROUGH THE CRACKS DESPITE WICKER HAVING NEVER SERVED IN THE MILITARY.

THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ANNOUNCED A LISTING OF SUMMER CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS, AND IT SHOULD BE A SUMMER WITHOUT A LOT OF ORANGE CONES IN NORTHWEST MINNESOTA. ONE OF THE ONLY LARGER PROJECTS LISTED WAS A RESURFACING OF HIGHWAY 220 NORTH OF EAST GRAND FORKS.
