INFORMATION ON ALL SPRING COMMUNITY EDUCATION COURSES BEING OFFERED BY THE ROSEAU COMMUNITY SCHOOL IS AVAILABLE AT THE SCHOOL WEBSITE. THE BROCHURE ALSO INCLUDES INFORMATION ON DRIVERS EDUCATION ALONG WITH EARLY CHILDHOOD SCREENING.

US SENATOR AMY KLOBUCHAR ANNOUNCED THAT THE SENATE PASSED THE POSTAL SERVICE REFORM ACT. THIS BI-PARTISIAN LEGISLATION WILL BOLSTER THE US POSTAL SERVICE’S LONG-TERM FINANCIAL STABILITY AND ADDRESS DELIVERY DELAYS AND OTHER OPERATIONAL REFORMS.

A FUNERAL SERVICE FOR CURT HAUGER OF BADGER WILL BE HELD THIS SUNDAY (2 PM) AT THE BADGER SCHOOL GYMNASIUM. VISITATION WILL BE BEGIN TWO HOURS PRIOR AT THE SCHOOL. INTERMENT WILL BE HELD AT A LATER DATE. MILITARY RITES BY THE ROSEAU MEMORIAL HONOR GUARD. CURT HAUGER WAS 74.

The Minnesota House is considering legislation that would replace Minnesota’s existing Columbus Day holiday with Indigenous Peoples’ Day. A bill introduced by Rep. Heather Keeler, DFL-Moorhead, would change the name of Columbus Day in Minnesota law and require state and local governments to recognize it as a holiday. The executive branch does not currently recognize Columbus Day as an official holiday and other branches and subdivisions of government can decide whether to observe the day.

A rural Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, man has been arrested in connection with the thefts of over 150 catalytic converters along with damaging the Pelican Rapids impound lot.
Darin Drew Dillon, 34, of Erhard has been charged with two counts of felony theft over $5,000 in Otter Tail County District Court.
