AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE PASSED UNANIMOUSLY BY THE CROOKSTON CITY COUNCIL, WILL REQUIRE ANY BUSINESS THAT WILL BE SELLING PRODUCTS CONTAINING HEMP-DERIVED THC TO NOTIFY THE CITY CLERK BEFORE THE SHOP CAN SELL THOSE PRODUCTS. THOSE PRODUCTS BECAME LEGAL UNDER A NEW MINNESOTA LAW IN AUGUST. CITY LEADERS SAID THIS IS CONSISTENT WITH STATE LEGISLATURE, NOT LOOKING TO STOP THE SALE, BUT LIKE TOBACCO OR LIQUOR, KNOWING WHERE THE ITEMS ARE BEING SOLD.

LAST WEEK JURY SELECTION, AND NOW THE TRIAL HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN IN THE CASE OF ERIC REINBOLD, THE OKLEE MAN ACCUSED OF KILLING HIS WIFE IN 2021. A FUNERAL SERVICE FOR FRANK HOMME OF SALOL WILL BE HELD THURSDAY (4 PM) AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN WARROAD WITH VISITATION AN HOUR PRIOR. INTERMENT WILL BE AT NORLAND CEMETERY IN SALOL. FRANK WAS 71.
