AT AN EARLY FEBRUARY ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD MEETING, THEY PUT FORTH A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF A ROSEAU/LAKE OF THE WOODS SPORTSMAN’S CLUB APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL RECREATION TRAIL PROGRAM. THEY ARE REQUESTING GRANT FUNDING OF $63,000 TO OFFSET THE PURCHASE OF GROOMING EQUIPMENT.
THEY ALSO ESTABLISHED THE 2024 DITCH LEVIES AND BUDGETS.
IN OTHER NOTES, KATHLEEN JENSEN WAS APPOINTED A 3-YEAR TERM ON THE NORTHWEST REGIONAL LIBRARY BOARD.

ROSEAU COUNTY COMMISSIONER JACK SWANSON HAS JOINED THE NORTHWEST MINNESOTA FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS. SWANSON SAID HE BELIEVES “THE FOUNDATION HAS AN EXCELLENT REPUTATION AS AN ORGANIZATION THAT VALUES THIS REGION OF THE STATE…”.
