A DECISION ON WHETHER OR NOT TO MOVE MINNESOTA’S PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY IN 2024 TO AN EARLIER DATE COULD BE MADE AS EARLY AS THIS WEEK. THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE IS MEETING TOMORROW TO DECIDE WHICH STATES IT WILL CHOOSE TO HOLD THE EARLY ELECTORAL CONTESTS THAT OFTEN SHAPE WHICH CANDIDATE A PARTY IS LEANING TOWARDS. AS IT STANDS, MINNESOTA’S PRIMARY WILL BE MARCH 5, 2024, BUT THIS COULD MOVE IT UP TO JANUARY OR FEBRUARY WITH STATES SUCH AS IOWA AND NEW HAMPSHIRE.

The Center for Biological Diversity on Tuesday filed a lawsuit challenging the failure of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to develop a national gray wolf recovery plan under the Endangered Species Act. The federal agency’s wolf-recovery planning has focused on wolf populations in three separate geographic areas: the “eastern timber wolf” in Minnesota, the now-delisted gray wolf population in the northern Rocky Mountains and the now separately listed Mexican gray wolf in the Southwest.

THE FUTURE OF THIEF RIVER FALL’S MUNICIPAL LIQUOR STORE, FALLS LIQUOR, IS BEING QUESTIONED. THEY MENTIONED COMPETITION FROM GRAND FORKS AND ST. HILLAIRE AND ALSO MENTIONED THE FACT THAT WARROAD IS BUILDING A NEW EXPANDED MUNICIPAL LIQUOR STORE SPACE AS HURDLES THEY ARE FACING OR WILL BE FACING IN THE FUTURE.
