IN AN EXTRA INNINGS AFFAIR, GOING 11 INNINGS, DILWORTH-GLYNDON-FELTON DEFEATED ROSEAU 5-3. TODAY’S GAME IS AT NOON, AND JASON AND THE WILD 102 CREW WILL HAVE THE BROADCAST.

SACRED HEART YESTERDAY CLAIMED THE SECTION 8A BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP WITH A 3-2 WIN OVER ADA-BORUP.

EDGERTON BEAT RED LAKE FALLS 3-1 IN THE QUARTERFINALS OF THE STATE SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT. RED LAKE FALLS DID GO ON TO BEAT MENAGHA 11-1 IN THE CONSOLATION BRACKET AND WILL NOW PLAY WABASHA-KELLOGG FOR TEH CONSOLATION CHAMPIONSHIP THIS MORNING.

SECTION 8AA CHAMPION D-G-F WON THEIR QUARTERFINAL, THEN LOST A SEMIFINAL 3-1 TO CHATFIELD. THE REBELS WILL PLAY MAPLE LAKE FOR THIRD PLACE.

AFTER BEING ON LIFE SUPPORT, THE TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING ARE NOW IN CONTROL OF THE STANLEY CUP EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS, WINNING GAME 5 ON THE ROAD 3-1, AND THEY NOW HOLD A 3-2 SERIES LEAD OVER THE NEW YORK RANGERS.

THE MINNESOTA TWINS OPENED YESTERDAY’S GAME WITH THREE STRAIGHT HOME RUNS, BUT WOULD FALTER, FALLING TO THE NEW YORK YANKEES 10-7. THE HOMERS CAME FROM ARRAEZ, BUXTON, AND CORREA. IN TOTAL, BUXTON WOULD DRIVE IN FOUR RUNS. ANTHONY RIZZO DROVE IN THE GO AHEAD RUN WITH A SINGLE IN THE 7TH.
