FOOTBALL:
MOUNTAIN-IRON BUHL ENDED KITTSON COUNTY CENTRALS FOOTBALL SEASON IN TEH QUARTERFINALS OF THE 9-MAN STATE TOURNAMENT, BEATING THE BEARCATS 42-28.
SECTION 8 CHAMP BARNESVILLE ADVANCED IN THE CLASS AA TOURNAMENT.
DILWORTH-GLYNDON-FELTON ALSO ADVANCED IN THE CLASS AAA TOURNEY.

GIRLS HOCKEY:
ROSEAU’S GIRLS HOCKEY TEAM OPENED THEIR SEASON WITH A WIN OVER LAKEVILLE NORTH ON FRIDAY NIGHT. PEYTON REMICK CAPPED A HAT TRICK WITH A LATE EMPTY NET GOAL.

THE MINNESOTA VIKINGS CAME FROM BEHIND ONCE AGAIN, WITH PATRICK PETERSON SEALING A WILD FINISH WITH AN OVERTIME INTERCEPTION. THE VIKINGS BEAT THE BUFFALO BILLS 33-30 TO IMPROVE TO 8-1.

THE MINNESOTA WILD FELL YESTERDAY 3-2 TO THE SAN JOSE SHARKS, BUT DO GET A POINT AS THE LOSS CAME IN A SHOOTOUT.

THE MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES ENDED A SKID WITH A 129-124 WIN OVER THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS.

IN COLLEGE HOCKEY, MINNESOTA SPLIT A SERIES WITH PENN STATE, WHILE DENVER HAD IT’S FIRST SWEEP OF NORTH DAKOTA IN GRAND FORKS SINCE 2010.
