MLB:
MAX KEPLER AND KYLE FARMER EACH HAD A PAIR OF HITS, AND NEWLY ACQUIRED PABLO LOPEZ THREW TWO SHUTOUT INNINGS, BUT THE TWINS DID LOSE IN SPRING TRAINING BALL 4-1 TO BOSTON.

NBA:
THE MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES WERE OFF LAST NIGHT, BUT HAVE LOST THREE STRAIGHT AND NOW FIND THEMSELVES BACK BELOW .500 AT 31-32. THEY REMAIN WITHIN THE PLAY-IN PORTION OF THE PLAYOFF FIELD, BUT ONLY .5 GAME AHEAD OF PORTLAND. THE GOOD NEWS, THE FIND THEMSELVES ONLY 2.5 GAMES BACK FROM CLIMBING AS HIGH AS #4 IN THE WESTERN CONFERENCE.
