Memorial Service will be held on October 11, 2025 at 1:00 pm at St George Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 1250 Oakdale Avenue, West St. Paul, Minnesota.
Wanda Louise Larson passed away on August 25, 2025. She was born October 16, 1951 as the second live birth and first daughter of parents Victor Imanuel Larson and Nora Theline (Thorbjornson) Larson. She attended Salol Elementary School and graduated from Roseau High School in 1969. She attended the University of Minnesota where she studied math, journalism, and philosophy for three years.
In 1972 she married Gene Stillman. They lived in Guam, Texas, Colorado, Nebraska and Florida throughout Gene’s career. While she was in Texas she graduated from Trinity University with a degree in math. They divorced in Florida.
Later she married James Shelton and lived in the Houston area of Texas. James died in 1998 and Wanda moved back to Minnesota in 2000 and has resided in Roseville ever since.
She had interests in quilting, sewing, Mensa, bicycling, scrabble, yoga and cats. She was active in many organizations related to these interests.
Wanda sponsored two Ukrainian women for the last 2 1/2 years, becoming friends with them and helping them settle in the United States.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and all ancestors, sister, Ruby Larson, brother Gary Larson, special cousin Susan Woller, best friend Connie Ranard-Chandler and all aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.
She is survived by brothers, Richard Larson (Apple Valley, MN), Edward (Normie) Larson (Fallon, NV), and sisters Joann (James) Lambrides (Warroad, MN), Sarah Larson (Richfield, MN), Kay (Tim) Lindgren, (Brookings SD), Brenda (John) Schumann (Litchfield, MN) and many nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.
