ROSEAU’S VAN MUNSTENTEIGER FINISHED 6TH AT THE SECTION MEET IN BAGLEY AND WILL ADVANCE TO RUN IN THE STATE MEET.

SWIMMING:
THE NORTH SWIM TEAM FINISHED THIRD AT THE NORTH BORDER CONFERENCE MEET IN WARROAD ON FRIDAY. TRF WAS FIRST WITH 590, CROOKSTON/FOOSTON/BAGLEY 2ND AT 545, AND THE NORTH THIRD AT 504.

NFL:
THE VIKINGS BEAT THE PACKERS 24-10 AT LAMBEAU FIELD. THE BIG STORY THOUGH WAS QUARTERBACK KIRK COUSINS WAS INJURED ON A NON-CONTACT PLAY IN THE 4TH QUARTER. IT’S BEEN DIAGNOSED AS A TORN ACHILLES TENDON, AND HE WILL MISS THE REMAINDER OF THE SEASON.

NHL:
THE WILD LOST 4-3 IN NEW JERSEY. THEY FINISHE A ROAD TRIP OUT EAST GOING 0-2-1.

FORMER MINNESOTA HIGH SCHOOL STANDOUT IN HIBBING ADAM JOHNSON, WHO ALSO PLAYED COLLEGE HOCKEY AT UMD AND HAD BRIEF NHL ACTION DIED AFTER AN ON-ICE ACCIDENT WHILE PLAYING OVERSEAS IN ENGLAND. HIS THROAT WAS CUT BY A SKATE BLADE AND LATER DIED FROM THE INJURY.

MLB:
THE WORLD SERIES IS TIED AT 1-1 AFTER TWO GAMES IN TEXAS. THE RANGERS HAD RALLIED TO WIN GAME 1, AND ARIZONA DOMINATED GAME 2. GAME 3 IS TONIGHT.
