IN A RIVALRY DOUBLE HEADER LAST NIGHT IN SUPPORT OF THE MAX FOUNDATION, THE RAMS AND WARRIORS HAD BOTH BOYS AND GIRLSHOCKEY  FACE OFF AT THE ROSEAU MEMORIAL ARENA. THE GIRLS WERE UP FIRST WITH THE WARRIORS COMING IN ON A 6 GAME WIN STREAK AND THEY WERE ABLE TO MAKE IT 7 DEFEATING THE LADY RAMS 5-3 LAST NIGHT.  THE BOYS GAME ENDED REGULATION TIED 2-2 WITH BOTH RAMS GOALS COMING IN THE SECOND, ONE FROM NOAH URNESS AND THE OTHER FROM   JAKE HALVORSON. WARROAD END CAPPED REGULATION WITH CARSON PILGREM DRAWING FIRST BLOOD LATE IN THE FIRST PERIOD, AND  TAVEN JAMES TYING IT UP LATE IN THE THIRD. RAM JAKE HALVORSON ENDED THE GAME 1:41 IN OVERTIME FOR A 3-2 RAM VICTORY.

Hockey Day Minnesota is rapidly approaching in Warroad, and THE RINK LIVE reports that co-chairperson Tad Palmquist is pleased with the progress, despite losing some sleep over the preparations. The main rink's construction finished just before Thanksgiving, and with the recent cold weather, a base layer of ice is already in place, with logos and an additional layer scheduled to be sprayed next week. Warroad has been fortunate to avoid significant snowfall so far, aiding the installation of two other ice features: the 50-foot-by-100-foot Outlaw Rink and the mini Riverbend Skate Path in the communal Village area. Tickets for that event are still available.

The Tennessee Titans have relieved coach Mike Vrabel of his duties after consecutive losing seasons. Team owner Amy Adams Strunk considered the option of trading Vrabel but cited league rules and the urgency of securing the right head coach as reasons for immediate termination, expressing the difficulty of the decision and emphasizing high expectations for the team’s future. Despite Vrabel’s successful tenure with four straight winning seasons, recent disappointments prompted the Titans to
seek a fresh coaching perspective and assess the team’s direction for the upcoming offseason.
